Chances are some type of surgery will be deemed necessary during your pet’s lifetime. At Four Rivers Veterinary Center, we understand that even routine procedures can be nerve wracking for you and stressful for your pet. We want to set your mind at ease and help you to feel confident entrusting your animal companion to our caring, capable surgical team. Rest assured that when it comes to surgery – whether it’s a common procedure or something more complex – your pet’s safety and comfort is always our highest priority.

The veterinarians at Four Rivers are highly skilled and experienced in a wide variety of surgical procedures, all of which are performed using the highest standards of care. Surgical patients are thoroughly checked before any procedure to ensure their ability to undergo surgery. We use only the safest anesthesia, which is administered under the watchful eye of our well trained technicians. Surgical patients are closely monitored – before, during and following surgery – to ensure their comfort and well being at all times.

Once surgery is complete, a member of our staff will reach out to you to explain how the procedure went and schedule a time for you to come pick up your pet. At that time, we will carefully go over our post-operative care instructions, answer any questions that you may have about your pet’s surgery, and discuss an appropriate pain management plan that will help your pet recover comfortably. The goal is to have your pet fixed up and back to his or her normal, active lifestyle as quickly and painlessly as possible.
