Brooke Waters, Business Manager
Brooke joined our Vidalia team as a veterinary assistant in 2014. After overcoming a childhood fear of animals, Brooke grew to love and even developed a passion for animals, which ultimately led to her decision to dedicate her professional career to their care. "They don't have a voice to tell us what they need, and I believe God made people with hearts just like mine to be their voice."
Brooke's favorite part of working in the veterinary industry is that it keeps her on her toes, teaches her something new daily and keeps life interesting. According to Brooke, "There is nothing in veterinary medicine that isn't interesting, which is one of the many reasons I love it!" She adds that her ability to make a difference in the lives of both animals and their owners is what makes her work most rewarding. "Nothing is more rewarding than a job where you can lend a hand in healing."
When not on-duty at the clinic, Brooke can usually be found spending quality time with her family and friends. A self-professed lover of art, she also enjoys drawing and painting for fun and "stress relief."
Sarah Ledford, Veterinary Assistant
As a veterinary nurse, Sarah provides support and care in the treatment of our patients as well as assisting clients with scheduling appointments and answering any questions they may have. She
prides herself on offering excellent patient care and customer service and always strives to help make a positive impact on the lives of both pets and their "parents." Sarah has a genuine love of all
animals, and not only enjoys seeing them at work but loves to come home to them as well.
Sarah and her husband, Jesse, are the proud parents of a daughter, Saylor, and have four dogs, all of whom are spoiled rotten!
Melissa Anderson, Veterinary Assistant
Melissa joined our Vidalia hospital in 2016. A lifelong animal lover, Melissa previously served as a trainer for The Guide Dog Foundation. As a veterinary assistant, Melissa has a strong interest
in surgery and critical care, as they both provide her with a number of challenges as well as the most opportunity for improvement for the patients in her care. Her favorite part of her job is
sending home happy and healthy pets!
Melissa and her husband, Byron, are the proud pet parents of two dogs, Stitch and Jewel. When she's not scrubbed in at the hospital, Melissa enjoys being outdoors, whether it's hiking,
camping, longboarding or just spending time with her family. As a photography enthusiast, Melissa also serves as our in-house photographer. Her snapshots can regularly be seen on the clinic's
Facebook and Instagram.
Danielle Perrotta, Baxley Office Manager/Veterinary Assistant
Danielle joined our Baxley office as a veterinary assistant in early 2014. She has extensive experience in animal shelter management and is actively involved in animal rescue and advocacy as well as local animal adoption. For Danielle, the most rewarding part of her job is "seeing the before and after when someone brings in a patient that we can help and the gratitude that the owners show you when you have helped their babies." She adds, "Just knowing I am making a difference and always able to learn new thing makes me love my job!"
When she's not helping animals at the clinic, Danielle enjoys camping, fishing and spending time with her two children, Mackenzie and Denver. They share their home with three dogs (Sister, Coco and Rosie), four cats (Isis, Boots, Socks and Rain) and a pet fish.
